We are a culture-addicted, developing, ever-changing, evolving and interminable bunch of kids who are born, infatuated with, and/or living in Toronto also known as the ' T-Dot'.
For those of you who don't know, Toronto is the home of the CN Tower, The Maple Leafs, really polite people, TTC, Rob Ford and most importantly - a stirring pot for dope-ass music.
As of late, all sorts of media, world-renowned publicists and producers from around the world have taken notice. With the uprise of musicians such as; Drake, The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, Feist, Deadmau5, Peaches, and K'naan, they have set the precedent for what is expected if you want to make it worldwide.
We want to create a space where people can come and discover who and what is popping off in Toronto combined with an honest review from an array of writers.
Site contributors come in all shapes, sizes and music tastes in order to offer a blog with multiple voices.
This is our way of giving back to the young, up-and-coming artists that overflow this gorgeous city we live in.

We in The Pocket, was graciously granted to opportunity to sit down with young, go-getter and self-made CEO, Brenden Hewko. Born in '91, this hip-hop head has done more than most seniors in the game. He began his career planning shows and hosting events for underground rappers from the US. With a resume that includes working with rap-idols such as; Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Mac Miller, and Big K.R.I.T, it's no surprise this Western grad is so confident and emits the qualities of a natural-born leader. We in the Pocket's interviewer/blogger Fouad sits down with Brenden to discuss his group SmashMouth Entertainment, his accomplishments and goals for the future.
