Tall Boy is a reminder that you shouldn't ever judge a book by it's cover. Here, we have Sebastian otherwise known as "Tall Boy". A 6'5, 18-year old Northern Secondary school student who also happens to be one of the grimiest beat makers this city has to offer. When listening to his Infinity Plus One EP and Remix EP, you get that feeling that you have found a gold mine.

 

        With young guns like WondaGurl and Rich Kidd annihilating the industry, it’s safe to say that Toronto has something in the water. TallBoy is next in line.  His tracks posses the essence of a seasoned producer - not a teenager who only started making beats 3 years ago using loop tracks on GarageBand.

 

        Thoughtful samples, over “post-trap” beats make his Soundcloud an addictive spot to check out.  As we converse on Facebook chat, I am stunned to find out that TallBoy hasn't sold much of his work.

 

        There is a genius stirring in the shadows, people. A beast of a producer who doesn't come up short (no pun intended).
